For Authors
Submit ManuscriptGENERAL INFORMATION
The Cornell International Law Journal welcomes the submission of articles and essays relating to international, transnational, and comparative law from academics, practitioners, government officials, and judges.
Submissions should include your manuscript in .doc or .docx format and CVs for all authors of the manuscript. We recommend that you also include a cover letter.
Footnotes should comply with The Blue Book - A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed.).
The Journal has a strong presumption against publishing articles over 40,000 words in length, and we strongly recommend that your submission be 30,000 words or less in length. Submissions under 18,000 words in length are generally considered essays, and though they undergo the same review process as articles, they will be automatically considered for publication in the Journal’s online platform. All word counts in this paragraph are inclusive of footnotes.
At this time, we are not accepting student note submissions.
